About me
I’m an avid reader, mediocre musician, and dog lover. I am passionate about and find purpose in helping individuals identify and utilize their unique talents. In my professional life, I have spent the past 15 years in Human Resources, primarily focusing on Talent Management. My career has spanned four large organizations, three industries and direct experience in three global regions. Between facilitating hundreds (yes, hundreds) of talent planning meetings and working directly with people across the globe, I have seen pretty much every career moment imaginable. It is from this experience, as well as my strong belief in the concept of cura personalis that I recognize that we cannot live up to our own potential without intentionality, which requires both courage and curiosity. How do we start applying intentionality to both our careers and lives? In our culture of glorifying near-burnout and where being busy has become a status symbol, it starts with courage. Courage to admit we don’t know everything, that we don’t have “it all figured out.” And yet, courage alone is not enough, we also need to be curious, curious about ourselves and the world around us. But, here is the kicker: We have to muster this courage and curiosity in our actual lives with real actions. The concept is living intentionally, not thinking intentionally. Therefore, my first action is to be courageous enough to start this website, put my thoughts out there into the world, and see if I'm any good at helping others become courageously curious, in real life. |
